“加油”的英语不是“fighting”？

没错，就这么简单。英语“祝你好运”连带有“加油”的意思；

These are the most general phrases that you can use to encourage someone: 这两句是最常用的鼓励人的句子；

They can be used for a wide range of contexts: 不管什么场景，包括考试、面试、开始人生新阶段、这两句基本都适用；

俚语来了

Knock it out of the park: 好好表现、表现出色；

The saying comes from baseball: 这个说法来源于棒球

“Knock the ball out of the park” means to hit a home run: 意思是本垒打，打出制胜球

怎么用？

“Knock it out of the park”和”good luck”, “best of luck”一样万用；

另外，它还可以用在陈述句里，比如:

A: How was your job interview? 你面试怎么样？

B: I knocked it out of the park: 棒极了！

用“Go”来加油

Go get them；Go get the best of them；Go beat them这三个说法都很常用；

怎么用？

这几句都有”them”, “them”指代的是对手或者评价、评估你的人；

通常用于有对手、或需要在别人面前表现、需要说服别人的情况下。比如比赛、甚至面试也可以用（面试官和其它的面试者就是“them”)

加油不是“ fighting”，但是可以说”keep fighting”

关键是要加”keep”；

Keep fighting: 继续战斗、继续努力；

光说”fighting”外国人是听不懂的；

好奇怪的说法！This idiom came from the theatre world. Well-wishers typically say “Break a leg” to actors and musicians before they go on stage to perform: 这个说法来自于舞台、表演界。给演出前的演员、歌手加油，通常用”Break a leg”;

The expression reflects a superstition in which wishing a person “good luck” is considered bad luck: 它的来源是演员有种迷信，觉得说”good luck”反而会带来坏运气；所以就故意说反话。现在这个说法早已延伸到舞台外，成为日常生活中常用的加油、鼓劲的语言。
